G321: Our Film Remake

Memento



As a group we have decided to remake the opening of Memento. We chose this opening as we found it a challenge and intriging to watch so we thought it would be more entertaining to create if we have a passion to make it. Also it will help us to progress in our editing skills because this continious piece uses a slow paced and fast paced editing style and the entire piece is in reverse meaning we have to think about how to edit the piece.

We can also improve our camera skills because within this extract it uses a variety of shots and angles such as mid shot to many close ups and tilts used, these are different than the ones used in our preliminary task. Another reason we chose it is because it allows us to experiment with different genres; this is a thriller movie when our preliminary was an action and for our final piece we shall be using another different genre of film so we have experience in a wide range of genres before we create our final opening credits.
